Ha Ha Hard

Took the pups and went over to Ha Ha Tonka this time. I had that Island trail in mind. It was as wonderful as it looked, but it was a lot of up and down. Some of it nicely improved with wooden steps but wow. 5 miles, mostly carrying Lucky (and all of our water.)  I was truly beat when I got home.  Made spinach and rice and pho.  Dean Martin has been gone – he goes home for church and this week he had cataract surgery.  Anyway, he’s back. He knocked on my door with a basket full of catfish. Yum.  I had just eaten but I nabbed a couple of pieces and we chatted for a bit. Nice to have him back.
The campground is suddenly completely full and *everyone* (who wasn’t here already) has motorcycles.  So I walked up next to a couple while I was dog walking and they were sauntering around. “Some kind of bike rally going on?”  Yep, they said. Bikefest of the Ozarks.  http://www.lakebikefest.com/
Probably will be a superspreader event so I’m glad to be leaving in the morning.
Today I will go somewhere close by with the dogs, then leave them in the camper to go to the state park to kayak a last time. There are tourist-able caverns in the area, but they are all closed due to covid. I will come back another year, I’m sure.
Here are just a few photos from yesterday. I was busy holding Lucky most of the time so few pictures… then I didn’t do anything else after because I was really beat after that one!
It’s Thursday, my last day here. 🙁
