Less is more

I’m afraid that my days may become so similar as to be indiscernible from one another.
Some days I run, some days I hike, some days I take the dogs for a longer walk, some days I bicycle. Subtle difference in a daily outing.
I work at the computer – either trying to write words or working with customers and the new product. Some days are more one than the other. Subtle difference in screen time.
I go out each day to tend to the spa and the pond and to weed. My eye roves looking for some meatier project to dig into, but there’s simply nothing left.
At least I have a fun weekend coming up – I will go to the grocery store early tomorrow (Friday) morning, during senior hour. That’s an adventure all by itself!
Then I will load up the truck and be on the road by mid-day. Driving up to Bryce where I have a reserved campsite, complete with power. The only time I really need power is when it is hot, and I don’t think it will be hot. But I was nervous about the first-come/first-served nature of the other sites, so I booked. With power I can charge the laptop , run the microwave, run the coffee pot–but most importantly run the A/C. I’m usually fine without it because the solar runs the lights, the fan and will charge my phone, the heater and the stove and the refrigerator run on propane (I have a stove-top coffee pot, so there is coffee either way.)
My plan is to just settle in and take a short hike outside the park with the dogs tomorrow. (They aren’t allowed in the (any) national park.) Then Saturday morning I’ll meet a group of fellows and we will tackle the Fairyland Trail. I think those people plan to go out for a meal together after, but I do not think I’m up for that yet, so I will spend the evening with my dogs, once again, walking them somewhere they are allowed.
I will take a few pictures, I’m sure and I’ll try to post them, probably after I’m back. So I won’t be here blogging this weekend – and probably not as much overall. This blog started as a joke, making a big deal out of the map pin never moving and posting details about really menial, uninteresting home projects … but now I don’t even have that. So it would literally become about what day is laundry day, garbage day … ugh.
So … I’ll be back here once in awhile maybe, but I can’t imagine daily updates anymore. I am pleased that I am now so completely unpacked, projects all completed, home life feels well-organized. I have a feeling the transition will be to working out more and writing more. And this is not a bad thing.
