So Happy It’s Thursday

OMG I’m so excited, I have a video conference at 9:00a. It means I have to be up and dressed like a regular person by that time. LOL.
It’s been very cold here the last few days. This morning it is still only 47F. Yesterday was cold and super windy. My levels of wind are ‘blew stuff around,’ ‘broke a fairy,’ and ‘put my gazebo on the roof.’  Yesterday it broke a fairy.
The pond is doing so well and is is so much easier, now. I should have spent money on the pond guy way sooner. Oh, right, I couldn’t find one. He really knows ponds and he’s quite a character and I am very grateful that he will show up twice a month to catch problems, give me advice –and do the maintenance when I’m away. It only took four years but I finally have that under control.
We don’t have a closing date on RFBGH (that’s the name of the new house in Florida, ask Ree,) but I think we will have it nailed down today and will actually close early next week. I’ve begun the process of forwarding funds into escrow. The appraisal came back with the value of the house exactly what we paid for it. I feel reassured. I mean who wouldn’t love to find out the bank thinks the house is worth way more than you offered? But even if we didn’t get a huge bargain, at least the bank agrees the house is worth what we’re paying and that’s reassuring. And that piece of property is a great long term investment. Ask me and I’ll wax on about why. Anyway, we’re down to brass tacks now.
Rhiannon has about 7/8ths of her stuff already moved in over there (realtor and owner are friendly,) but she can’t stay there yet – insurance issue. So she goes back and forth, getting things settled in. She left her mattress on the floor and she still has enough things to live over at her little efficiency. She has to be out by the 18th, but I think we’ll make it.
RFBGH has a bunch of iguanas that have taken up residence. (Maybe we should call the place RFBGIH?) Rhiannon has named one of them. I forget. Eduardo Green or something like that. Ask her.
Yesterday I got both campers sorted out, refreshed for travel. Floors cleaned, dishes all washed in the dishwasher, everything wiped off-(counters, refrigerator.) Beds… well one to go today, it’s all washed but I have to climb up in the truck camper and do camper-bed-yoga one more time in that over-cab bed. Cupboards, emptied, cleaned and loaded with new non-perishables. I am thinking of washing the outside of them. Not sure what the rules are about water but I’ll try to do it with minimal water. At the very least I’ll clean off bug splatter from The Tardis and the black marks that develop from water trickle on the Warrior. Wash the windows all around, too, for a clear view of the world.
I’m leaving the truck camper mounted, it will get the most use for now. But the big camper has the rest of Rhiannon’s possessions already loaded in the back and is ready to roll when the hot summer gets here and I will head all the way to Florida for this year’s Big Camper Adventure. Anybody is welcome to join me for any part of that. July or August, I guess. I have not decided on my route yet. Probably get there quick on the I-40 and the I-10, but then mosey back home via more northerly routes to be determined. That will be fun, deciding what I want to see.
Not to be too much of a princess but this whole idea of cleaning your own house, like all on your own-like all of it, toilets, tubs, floors … wow. So much work. :/
My garden is doing inexplicably well. I wish I had more stuff planted…I have to figure out when to eat that one cauliflower before it eats the house. 🙂 Love to all.
