We were thinking of trying again to get tickets to Font de Gaume (to limit the destructive Co2 emissions of people coming in there are only 52 entries per day, 5 people at a time. You have to get there early and be one of the first 52 people in line to get your time, then wait for your time. We have the drive back to Bordeaux ahead of us today and already waited an hour in the cold yesterday so decided to abandon this effort and save Font de Gaume for another visit. It is supposed to be the most beautiful / colorful paintings that have been found. Would love to see them but enough is enough.
So, after having coffee in our little kitchen we are packing up for the drive back to Bordeaux. We hope to visit some wineries and have some random hikes along the way. Our only objective is to get back to the airport to drop our car and check-in to the airport hotel tonight. Our flight back to Oslo is early tomorrow morning (Saturday). We have Sunday to recoup and regroup and then I fly home on Monday.
